Q: What real-time data feeds will Dynamic Trader work with? Every DT owner purchases the EOD version for a one-time cost and has the option to add the eSignal RT annual license. There is also a RT option for DT users who already have Trade Station.
DT-RTE (DT with RT eSignal Data Feed): The DT7-RTE option is only available to owners of the DT7-EOD program. The DT7-RTE upgrade is available for a $400 annual license fee. You MUST have an eSignal data subscription to use the DT7-RTE feature. DT7 does not work with eSignal Live Charts or eSignal On Demand data or eSignal Advanced GET data.
As of the time this is being written, the three eSignal data subscription choices are Classic, Signature and Elite which varies from just $54 month to $359 month, not including exchange fees. As long as the eSignal subscription includes the eSignal Data Manager, DT can accept the data.
The eSignal data subscription is purchased directly from eSignal. DT does not provide the eSignal data subscription.
DT and Trade Station: DT is not a plug-in for Trade Station. DT is a stand along program. If you have Trade Station 8 or later, you can use our free TS data utility with DT7-EOD to update data for DT charts in real time from data on the TS charts.
The DT-TS Data Utility is included with DT7-EOD for no additional cost.
The DT Trade Station Data Utility is installed in TS like a custom indicator. It then collects and posts the data of the symbols in an open TS workspace to a file that is updated RT for DT. The DT TradeStation Data Utility is only practical to use if you are interested in a limited number of symbols and time frames because only those files open in the TS workspace will be updated.
We can only provide limited support for the DT-TS utility. We provide it free and do not use it ourselves but 100’s of DT users have used it over the years.
The DT-TS utility may not work with newer versions of TS.
If you are interested in RT data for many markets from many exchanges and many time frames, you should subscribe to the eSignal data subscription and DT-RTE annual license.

DT does not read Worden Bros RT data. That format is not provided to any third party software and is only able to be accepted by Worden’s™s own charting software. DT will only accept daily data from Worden Bros TC2000 to Version 7. It does not read V.12 or later data which is an entirely different format also not available for any third party software. Worden subscribers may have both V.7 and V.12 or later charting software on their computer so there is no conflict if you want to use V.7 to download data for DT and TC 2000 V.12 charting software as well. TC2000 V.7 is available to download from Wordon Bros.
Intraday Data Formats Read By Dynamic Trader V.7 (EOD)
DT7-EOD program will read intraday data files that are saved to your hard drive including ASCII and Metastock. The data does not update in real time. DT does not do any data management. It simply reads the data files you have downloaded to your hard drive.
DT7 eSignal Data Service

As I explain in detail in the DT Information booklet and DT Tour Videos, there are clearly defined and useful Elliott wave patterns in most markets and time frames about 50% of the time. All so-called Elliott Wave software forces wave counts in all situations when no useful wave count exists from a practical trading perspective. This misleads traders and is cause for a lot of bad trades. DT has an E-Wave Scanner that scans a portfolio for probable wave counts and time/price targets and a Wave Band routine that shows the probable count and time/price target ranges on any chart.
Q: Isn’t Elliott Wave an Important Part of Dynamic Trading? Elliott wave is very simple once you ignore all of the so-called complex corrective wave patterns which are useless to traders. We teach the simple and practical approach to Elliott wave in our trading course material and videos and how to use the clearly defined Elliott wave structures to help make the time and price targets.
